Collection, processing and dissemination of cultural information: call for applications for introductory workshops

As part of the West African Culture on Move – Wacom project, co-funded by the Programme AWA, the Association Nord Ouest Cultures is organising three introductory workshops on collecting, processing and disseminating cultural information in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, Accra in Ghana and Lomé in Togo.
These courses are aimed at web editors and cultural players under the age of 30 from and living in one of these three countries. 10 participants will be selected in each country following this call for applications.
ELIGIBILITY
For web editors:
- under 30 years of age
- be specialised in culture
- work on a freelance basis or for a web media specialising in culture
- be fluent in the country’s official language.
For cultural actors:
- be under 30
- belong to a cultural association focusing on the performing arts, including street arts
- be fluent in the country’s official language.
INDICATIVE TIMETABLE
The workshops will take place from 21 to 26 August in Ghana, from 11 to 16 September in Togo and from 23 to 28 October in Burkina Faso. Each workshop lasts 6 days (Monday to Saturday).

- Curriculum vitae
- Cover letter stating commitment to being available during the workshop
- Letter of authorisation from the media manager (for web editors who are not freelance)
- Letter of recommendation from their home association, for cultural players
SUBMISSION
Applications must be sent to the WACOM Project Manager with the chosen category in the subject line by 31 July 2023 at the latest.
Only applications sent on time and complete will be considered.
